The pitcher in the softball team will be an important player, and this holds true even for the softball that is called slow-pitch. Although the pitcher is not that fast, and slowpitch softball has more things to do with hitter than fastpitch softball, it seems that the pitcher plays a vital role that has to know lots of proper mechanics as well as a few tricks of their trade to make their game the best.
A pitcher begins by keeping the softball with her or his dominant hand. Then they should stand right behind the mound of the pitcher with their feet together. Then they need to swing their arm which is gripping the softball backward in a similar way with that of the pendulum. Next continuing the motion of a pendulum, they should swing their same arm as stepping forward by their opposite leg. It is true that stepping forward will help to release balls with momentum and help to maintain the balance.
